Any foreigner who, according to Law 14/2013 on support for entrepreneurs and their internationalization, can prove that they are an investor, entrepreneur, highly qualified professional, or researcher can apply to the Spanish Consulate for a residence visa in Spain to carry out their economic activities, or from within Spain, provided they are legally present in Spanish territory. The most important aspect of this law is, firstly, that processing times are shorter. Applications are resolved within 20 business days and visas within 10 days. Secondly, residence permits are valid for two years and are renewable.
